We have always dreamed of moving to Hawaii. We found Mike Drutar's videos on YouTube and really found them not only informative but fun to watch. His detailed explanations of home craftsmanship, what to look for both good and bad helped us learn what we wanted and what we didn't want in a new home.

They say in Vegas, “Once in a while you get lucky. We got lucky when we found Mike Drutar.
After 30 years and 2 great careers in the PNW, my wife looked at me on a 12 degree morning last March and says, “I think we should move to Hawaii”.
She could have picked somewhere easy, Scottsdale, Palm Desert, Mars…… But no. The Big Island.
This was going to be an epic headache and more likely a major train wreck. Not just 3000 miles across the Pacific Ocean, but a whole different insurance structure (tax, health, home, auto, etc, etc), are not like the mainland.. Shipping our “life” in orange boxes, our vehicles and a German Shepard (that’s a whole chapter in itself). Why not Mars honey????
